We value all donations however small. The choice of what you give is entirely up to you, but to help you see how your donation makes a difference to young musicians, we've included some suggested amounts below:

£60 would help towards a bursary for a musician who – without your help – may not be able to take up their place

£25 would pay for a musician's meals on one of our residencies

£12 would help towards rehearsal venue costs

£5 would help towards hiring music for the year

More to give? £100-£500 would pay for one musician to take part in one of our flagship concerts in one of the UK’s iconic concert halls

Our current donors say:

'Great orchestras are made of great instrumentalists and the NYO is doing great work in ensuring a constant supply of such individuals.'

'Thank you so much. So much diversity and talent.'

Your donation helps turn talent into brilliance, with every penny going towards supporting teenage musicians to be part of the incredible National Youth Orchestra rehearsals and concerts, or enables NYO Inspire musicians to join projects across the UK and break through to new levels of musicianship. While every family is asked to contribute to the cost of these opportunities, our policy is that no musician should ever be turned away on financial grounds; our bursary schemes help musicians fulfil their dreams. Thank you for helping us to keep that promise. NYO Inspire and NYO Open projects address a lack of access to orchestral music, and thanks to your donations, we are able to keep them free for every young person who takes part.
